The bottle is made of bio-based plastic using sugarcane fibres: a CO2 negative plastic. Sugarcane fibres are traditionally not used but burnt, emitting significant amounts of carbon. By reusing the fibres and making bioplastic with them, we manage to reduce these emissions.
