Couture Inspiration

by Marlies Dekkers
For the designs of this Fall Winter 2014 collection, I was inspired by the heroic story of Joan of Arc. Reflecting the past years while having experienced all aspects of life, I found this legend of Joan of Arc admirable and inspirational.

A young and strong woman following her heart, achieving remarkable goals in her life. Daring to take risks and following her passion despite objections of others. She showed great bravery and humility while her life helped change the course of history. A remarkable coming of age story situated in the 15th century and a perfect starting point for my Fall Winter 2014 collection of which I hope it encourages woman to follow their aspirations in life.

Dare to be heroic in your own life!
