Maestro Wardrobe

by Marlies Dekkers
I survived the second show of Maestro and I’m feeling more and more like a real conductor!! And even though one of the judges said the program isn’t a fashion show I still want to combine my new love (conducting) with an old one (fashion)… I will be in front of the orchestra with sweaty hand palms but with a mind-blowing outfit.

The fact that there are no clothing regulations for the Maestro show made my imagination run free. What If I wear the bare buttom dress?? I designed this dress 20 years ago and it’s still very innovative (presented as a piece of art at the rijksmuseum!!). The design is normal at the front and short at the back which gives you a bare butt. But okay by second thought probably not the best idea I ever. So I started to think about a more suitable outfit.

I liked the idea of getting inspired by the traditional conductor outfit which is always a tuxedo, often worn with a long jacket. And suddenly, while I was watching some catwalk shows online, I saw it. It was love at first sight. Black, long, elegant, super sexy and probably unreachable. This Alexander McQueen jacket was simply perfect. The jacket was couture and of course there were only a few made. The chance that there would be one in my size somewhere was unlikely… But then I heard a positive tone on the other side of the phone. Si, si, we still have one in our shop in Milano. And since the Maestro show was in two days a courier was send to Italy making sure I received this unique piece on time.

In the second show I wore this Alexander McQueen jacket in combination with tight black pants, my super feminine over the knee Louboutin boots, making me feel as sexy as I can be.

Of course I took the chance, just as in the last show, to wear something special from my collection. I needed the Victory corset from my couture collection for a big dose of extra confidence to survive the second show. And as you all have seen I did!!!

Don’t ignore your emotions; they are much more powerful than you can imagine. The fact that I feel bikini-confident all year round is, of course, a nice bonus. But for me, the biggest payoff of following the keto diet is the way it optimizes my health and gives me tons of energy.

Super (skin) food

‘If you can’t eat it, why put it on your skin?’. I pretty much live by this beauty adage. After all, with your skin being one of your body’s largest organs, anything – and I mean anything! – you put onto your skin will end up in your bloodstream.
