In a streamlined play of reveal and conceal, I created a mesmerizing pattern of lines in opulent seashell white jacquard, inspired by the modern dancers whose movements reveal the hidden language of the soul. To give you plenty of choice, I executed it in two versions: with or without a matching bra base in mushroom beige. The collection also features high-waist bottoms and a gorgeous bodystocking. As you exhale - aaah! - you release it all in one writhing movement: your shame, fury, passion and lust. 'You were wild once. Don't let them tame you." Isadora Duncan (1877 - 1927) spoke these beautiful words long before they became a popular Instagram quote. And even though 'empowerment' wasn't even a thing yet, that's exactly what the free-spirited dancer and choreographer wanted to do: empower women through dance. Kicking off their tight pointe shoes, her dancers went barefoot, moving freely in flowing, semi-transparent veils. 'Modern dance' signaled the end of the confinement of classical ballet. More importantly, it symbolized the birth of the modern woman.
