"★☆☆☆☆ To the owner, designer, and customer service team, My issue is not the swimsuit. I love your brand. My issue is a failure in the ordering system and the way this company handled a clearly reported problem. I selected a specific size when ordering. During checkout, the size changed in the final payment stage, and the order confirmation reflected a different size than the one I selected. I contacted customer service immediately, provided screenshots, and requested the order be corrected before shipment while it was still processing. This was done in time for action to be taken. No timely action was taken. In France an order can be canceled before delivery occurs by law. By the time a response was received, the order had already been processed and shipped. The only solution offered was a return. That is not resolution. That is delay followed by deflection. This was not a change of mind. It was a reported discrepancy in the ordering process that should have been investigated. Instead, it was ignored until it became irreversible, and the responsibility was placed entirely on the customer. To make matters worse, the swimsuit arrived without a sanitary hygiene liner, which raises concerns about quality control and consistency for a premium-priced product. Please note that my other products arrived without issue but the swimsuit I complained about arrived in a different condition. I also used the sizing assistance before purchase and received no meaningful support. The chat was ineffective and the follow-up email arrived too late to be useful. At every stage—before ordering, during ordering, and immediately after—the support structure failed to respond in time or in substance. In total, I spent almost €500 in one week with this brand because I genuinely liked the product and already was a repeat customer after my first order. I reported the issue immediately, provided evidence, and attempted to resolve it before dispatch. The response at every stage was insufficient. I also clearly stated that I did not have the time or interest in processing returns and requested an alternative solution. None was offered. This is not a product issue other than the sanitary liner and condition of the second order. It is a systems issue and a customer experience failure. Luxury branding requires operational reliability. When a system changes orders during checkout, when customer concerns are not acted on in time, and when the only solution offered is “return it,” the experience does not match the positioning. Today, you lost a customer. I will not be returning. Keep the money. I won’t be returning it. And for Marlies Dekkers: a stronger, more responsive customer-facing structure is needed. The product deserves better support behind it."
