I believe in a heart-ship connection
In my work a strong connection with someone has almost a magical effect. It gives you a creative boost which puts the level of output much higher. Your minds get connected which makes less words needed to create what’s in your head. I have this heart-ship connection with a few people. This is different than a friendship or good colleague teamwork.
One of these people is working with me for over 10 years. As a brandmanager Onno is not only excellent in his performance, but I love having him around because he completes me and I get the best out of him. In all those years we created shows and photoshoots from the highest level. Onno helps me to think about the smallest details, together we underline the brand values in the right ways. I enjoy brainstorming with Onno because I know he can challenge me to go for the best. In work we are truly equivalent which unlocks the potential of both of us. Throughout the years we grew closer and it gave my role as a leader a whole new dimension.
We made a lot of memories together. Business trips, extreme deadlines, he running a bit harder when I’m not at my best, me running a bit harder when he’s not at his best. I wish everyone a few of these valuable special connections with persons who enlarge your creativity.
Onno, I value our special connection, I appreciate you as a person. Thank you for your loyalty.

fall|winter 20 preview
In January, I presented my newest FW20 collection during a show full of dance and entertainment in Rotterdam. All my work as a feminist designer is inspired by muses, powerful female icons from past and present. And for FW20, my muse will be crime writer Agatha Christie. A few months from now, you will get to discover the collections, and see how they tell stories like Agatha’s thrilling books do..

With his many bestselling books and columns – and yes, even his own theatre show – he urges us to think outside the box when it comes to our mental health. Not crazy about popping pills? Bram shared some interesting alternatives with me, from throwing out our phones to running ‘till we puke’.
