Signature Collection book
Marlies Dekkers has already published a number of books. Together with Dutch writer Heleen van Royen, she wrote the bestseller Stout (Eng. Naughty), and 33 propositions, a collaboration between Marlies and writer Meghan Ferrill, was lauded in the poetry and art scene. However, these books are just a taste of the many titles Marlies has to her name.The marlies|dekkers Signature Collection consists of lingerie designs which have become iconic. They are immediately recognisable to many and still some of the most popular designs among fans of the brand. It was high time to publish the campaign photography and inspirational texts of this collection in an exclusive book. The Signature Collection book was published at the beginning of 2015 in a limited edition and is only available to a lucky few.

Marlies as a guest curator at the Rijksmuseum
The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam is one of the top museums in Europe. The first acquisition of current curator Wim Pijbes was the original “Blote Billenjurk” (Eng. “Naked Cheeks Dress”) designed by Marlies Dekkers, together with the famous “Spider Bra”. In the summer of 2015, Marlies was asked to be a guest curator for the fashion exposition Mode in Bloei (Eng. Fashion in Bloom). The exposition was opened with great aplomb by International Vogue editor Suzy Menkes and Marlies Dekkers's extraordinary style drew many a look.

Marlies in TV show Maestro
As an artist, Marlies Dekkers is naturally mostly known for her famous work as a lingerie designer, but her creativity goes much deeper. For example, she regularly shoots campaign photos herself and she paints a great deal, too. The Dutch television programme Maestro uncovered yet another talent: together with other celebrities, Marlies met the challenge of conducting the most complex compositions for a 65-piece orchestra. Marlies made it to the semi-final of the programme, which drew more than one million viewers each week. Now Marlies can also add the art of conducting to her repertoire!

COLLABORATION HUNKEMÖLLER
Marlies Dekkers designed four exclusives sets for Hunkemöller with the characteristic marlies|dekkers signature. The limited edition collection is sold throughout The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. It is an instant success and the designer pieces become collector's items amongst fans.

COLLABORATION DARE TO DRIVE
To showcase her rich diversity as an artist, Marlies Dekkers designed a limited fiat 500. Only four were produced and given away to fans worldwide.

COLLABORATION PINK RIBBON
Marlies designed a special Pink Ribbon lingerie set. Part of the proceeds were donated to breast cancer awareness foundations around the world. Marlies also organized special sport clinics in the Netherlands and Belgium because research has shown that exercising more reduces the chance of breast cancer by 20-40%.

COLLABORATION MAGNUM
Summer 2011 marlies|dekkers and Magnum in the Netherlands took on a unique collaboration. Marlies designed 500 limited edition special lingerie sets, that could be won when you bought a Magnum Tempation Fruit ice cream.

COLLABORATION SECRETS
Marlies Dekkers created fiftytwo limited edition-articles for de Bijenkorf, a Dutch chain of upscale department stores. The theme of the collection is 'secrets'. Beside the christmas collection Marlies Dekkers designed the entire store decoration and the window displays.

COLLABORATION PINK RIBBON
In October Marlies set up a campaign for breast cancer awareness month in collaboration with Ari Versluis and Ellie Uyttenbroek throughout the Netherlands. Twelve strong famous Dutch women were photographed wearing the special lingerie set Marlies designed for the charity Pink Ribbon. Part of the proceeds were donated to the charity.

VICTORIAN VAMPIRE NIGHT
Victorian Vampire Night; an ode to the romantic as well as the dark side of the Victorian era is celebrated during two exclusive parties, in Bloemendaal and Antwerp. A sneak preview of the fall|winter 2010 Dark Fever collection inspired by the Victorian era is shown during an exclusive catwalk show.

COLLABORATION ROYAL CRYSTAL LEERDAM
In 2009 Royal Leerdam Crystal asked Marlies to design a crystal vase for their exclusive limited edition collection. Marlies used the theme ‘Vanitas – glamour in crystal’, and translate this to a modern story in glass. Female shapes set the tone of the design.

PARIS FASHION WEEK
Marlies presents her collection during the Paris Fashion Week. This has been Marlies’ dream for many years. It was a unique chance for Marlies, because lingerie normally isn’t shown during the Paris Fashion Week.

CILA AWARD
Maternity collection is launched, and wins prizes straight away, with the prestigious CILA award in New York in the category ‘Best Maternity’. All bras have practical cups, which are easy to open for breastfeeding, and also have a cool en sexy look. The slightly larger cuts and the wider shoulder straps ensure extra support.

RETROSPECTIVE EXHIBITION
In 2008 the 15th birthday of marlies|dekkers was celebrated with an exhibition in the Rotterdam Art Hall: Retrospective Exhibition ’15 years marlies|dekkers’. The exhibition was filled with Marlies’ favourite art, photographs, films and her own designs.

Marlies wins three awards. She is announced business woman of the year by the Prix Veuve Clicquot. She wins the CILA Award, Contours International Lingerie Award, initiated by the most famous trade paper of America, Contours. And she wins the Golden Record award for the concept of the design for the cover of the Sex ’n Jazz CD of Gare du Nord.

Marlies Dekkers wins the Grand Seigneur of the Dutch Textile Organisation Modint. De Grand Seigneur is the highest fashion distinguishment of the Netherlands. The jury chose unanimously for Marlies Dekkers.

With a government grant of 16.000 euros from the Ministry of Economic Affairs Marlies Dekkers sets up her first lingerie collection, Undressed.
