The Wing Power collection is made from a camel color fabric with black lace on top of it. The real eye catchers are of course the wide straps on top of the black graphic lace. These straps as stylish as they are functional: they keep the black lace in place. The process to create these straps is very time consuming. Each strap has to be cut, measured and positioned very precisely, because it needs to be symmetric to the other straps. A laborious job with an amazing result.

Amelia's main motivation behind everything she did, besides the pure fun and thrill of it, was to empower other women. Aviation, she believed, offered women a great podium to show the world just how courageous and strong we could be. In other words, flying could give women wings, in more than just one way. Wouldn't it be amazing to have a flock of flying feminists up in the sky one day? But first, we had to stick together. "Women must pay for everything," Amelia once wrote. "They do get more glory than men for comparable feats, but they also get more notoriety when they crash." So, instead of seeing other women-pilots as competition, Amelia championed them and started the Ninety-Nines, an international organization for female pilots (named after the original number of members). To this day, the 'sisterhood in the sky' is going strong with 5,159 members in 30 countries. Not only that; Amelia's endeavors also led to the inclusion of female pilots in the army, and eventually, in space exploration. How proud Amelia would be to see women pushing each other to break (sound) barriers! Wing power at its best.
